Family Care is Primary
Our Hospital's board of trustees, administrators and medical staff recognized a community need and anticipated the change in national philosophy when they initiated the Family Practice Residency Program in 1974. At Chestnut Hill Hospital, we believe a strong medical education program enhances the Hospital's total quality of medical care. The Hospital's primary educational focus is the Family Practice Residency Program.
At Chestnut Hill Hospital, family practice is the foundation of medical care. Fully equipped with modern diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, the Hospital also offers direct access to the services of the medical school hospitals in Philadelphia. The Hospital provides comprehensive services to the community such as emergency medicine, oncology, gynecology, neurology, cardiology, orthopaedics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, gerontology, community health education, prevention and wellness.
