Chestnut Hill Hospital Welcomes New Board Member
Philadelphia, PA – Chestnut Hill Hospital’s (CHH) board of trustees welcomes Anuj Gupta to its 10-member team, composed of local physicians and professionals. Mr. Gupta, executive director of Mt. Airy USA, is a proven community advocate who has undertaken real estate development projects that turn blighted and underutilized sections of Mt. Airy into vibrant and thriving community assets and empowered neighborhoods by shaping long-term, successful homeowners.
“We are excited to have Mr. Gupta’s expertise at our table and serving to guide quality initiatives at the Hospital,” says John Cacciamani, M.D., chief executive officer, CHH. “Under his direction, more than $1 million has been invested in Mt. Airy to enhance blighted sections of Germantown Avenue. His commitment to our community is undeniable. He will be an asset to the Hospital team.”
“As director of the area’s largest community development corporations, my everyday focus is on how to improve the quality of life for our residents and further community revitalization throughout the neighborhood,” says Gupta. “Strong anchor institutions like CHH are a critical part of that continued story of revitalization.
“I hope that my experience in community development work will not only help inform the Hospital of the needs arising in the community, but also to help its physicians and services grow as an amenity for more of Mt. Airy’s residents and maintain its strength as an anchor institution.”
On the board’s future agenda, is getting the message out about the quality of care CHH provides, right here, close to home. “We have one of the top performing hospitals in the region, in our neighborhood,” says Gupta. “Together we will work to make CHH the local healthcare provider of choice.”
